Doing a simple Reverse Image Search, our team traced a news report, dated October 14, 2023, by Bangkok Post, carrying the same viral image with a caption: “Israeli soldiers collect the bodies of civilians killed by Hamas militants in the Kfar Aza village.” As per the report, the incident happened on October 7, 2023.
According to The New York Times report, the Kfar Aza village had approximately 750 residents before the Hamas attack. The assault resulted in numerous casualties, with many individuals killed, and around 150 people were taken as prisoners. A comprehensive report by journalist Isabelle Kreshner, accompanied by photographer Sergey Penamarev, offers detailed insights into the village’s condition four days after the attack.
Thus, we can conclusively say that the viral image is related to the incident on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked the Kfar Aza village in Israel, resulting in casualties.
