A post is being widely circulated on social media suggesting that the Congress party refrained from nominating candidates in Arunachal Pradesh, citing concerns that it could provoke China and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra never enter into Arunachal Pradesh.
The Facebook post reads: โOne view๐๐๐*Congress didn’t field any candidate in Arunachal Pradesh because China might get angry and also because it will be a breach of the 2009 MoU signed between the Congress and the Chinese Communist Party.* Also, despite starting in the North East, *Pappu’s Bharat Anyay Yatra* never entered Arunachal Pradesh. The reason being the same. The shameless Congress is in a partnership with India’s enemy. Vote wisely in 2024. Do not forget the fact that *the Congress is the number one internal enemy of India*.โ

Regarding the state assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, a report by The Hindu indicated that Congress released a roster of 34 candidates. Nevertheless, several candidates withdrew their candidacy, reducing the count of Congress representatives contesting the state assembly elections to 19.
We also found a news article in The Hindu reporting that the yatra commenced its journey into the state on January 20, with Rahul Gandhi being welcomed by Nabam Tuki, president of the state Congress Committee, in Papum Pare district.
