Verified: Newspaper Cutout Claiming Supreme Court Diwali Bonus Order Is AI-Generated

Date:

A post purportedly showing the front page of Dainik Jagran has gone viral on social media, claiming that the Supreme Court has ordered all government and private companies to pay their employees’ salaries by November 5, 2026, ahead of Diwali. It further claims that every employee must receive a bonus of ₹5,100 and one kilogram of kaju katli. Several social media users are sharing the purported newspaper front page as genuine.

NM VERIFIED

NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the image is AI-generated.

The NM team initiated its verification by conducting a keyword search to find relevant information about the alleged Supreme Court order and the Diwali bonus announcement. However, we could not find any credible news reports or official information supporting the viral claim.

Next, we scanned Dainik Jagran’s newspaper coverage and official social media handles for any such report but found no publication confirming the alleged order.

The absence of any credible reporting or official confirmation prompted us to examine the viral image using an AI detection tool. For this, we used Hive Moderation Analysis, which indicated that the image was 99.9% likely to be AI-generated.

Hence, it is evident that the viral newspaper front page is AI-generated. It does not represent an authentic Dainik Jagran front page published on any date.
