New Delhi: If freebies alone could make one the PM of India, then TN supremo Jayalalitha would certainly be the next Prime Minister. However, she is on the wrong side of the arithmatic because together the 11 parties that constitute the Third Front got 92 seats in the present Lok Sabha. Even with an impossible 20% swing Third Front could hardly make it to 111. If Mamata backed by Anna Hazare give Jaya a push, it would come to 136 seats.
Then Congress just a thwart BJP from staking the claim support Jaya with a barely 100 seats, the tally would be 236, an impressive figure for an ambitious lady to forge ahead.
Politics is full of imponderables. If Jaya could not make it this time, blame it on the stars!
