Rahul cancels rally after Masoods arrest

Date:

New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has cancelled his rally in Saharanpur after party leader Imran Masood was arrested on the intervening night of March 28 and 29 from Saharanpur for making hate speeches against Narendra Modi.

In the video that had gone viral, the Saharanpur Congress candidate had threatened to kill Modi claiming that he will chop the Gujarat Chief Minister into pieces. However, he later apologised for his remarks, saying, “I should have been more cautious with my words” and that the same were said in the heat of electioneering.

Congress has distanced itself from this remark.
