COVID: Maharashtra Records 711 New Cases, 281 Cases In Mumbai

Mumbai: Amid the recent spike in the number of COVID-related cases, Maharashtra reported a jump of 186% with 711 new cases in the last 24 hours – out of which 281 cases were reported from Mumbai.

According to the state health department report, four people have died (Satara-2, Pune-1, Ratnagiri – 1) in the last 24 hours.

The report further added that, the active caseload stands at 3,792 cases. The active caseload in Mumbai stands at 1,162 active cases, Pune with 781 cases, Thane with 670, and Nagpur with 127 cases.

The rate of recovery stands at 98.13%, with a total of 447 people being discharged in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, India reported over 3,000 fresh COVID cases cases for the straight fourth day with 3,038 new infections and nine deaths on Tuesday.
