FIFA Sold 2.45 Million Tickets For 2022 World Cup, Here’s All You Need To Know

New Delhi: The ultimate football frenzy is about to take over the world with the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 set to begin on November 20 in Qatar.

FIFA till now has sold a record number of 2.45 million tickets. More than 5,00,000 tickets are yet to be sold across fixtures.

All You Need To Know:  

  • 32 nations will take part in the tournament from across the globe.
  • The event will be history in the making as the FIFA World Cup will be played for the first time in the Middle East.
  • The event will be played in eight different specially developed and built venues across five cities.
  • The Lusail Iconic Stadium with a capacity to host 80,000 spectators will be the venue of ultimate finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup scheduled on December 18.
  • According to reports, eight groups will compete with each other in the group stage which will end on December 2. Quarter finals will take place on December 9 and 10.
  • The official match ball of the FIFA World Cup 2022 was released by Adidas named ‘Al Rihla’.
  • This year’s most anticipated players list include Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Vinícius Júnior, Pedri, Édouard Mendy and many more.
  • The Russian team has been banned from taking part in the FIFA World Cup due to Russia’s actions against Ukraine in the war.
