Javdekar slams Sonia; says her statement unfortunate and condemnable

Date:

Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javdekar held a press conference on Wednesday and lashed out at Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi over her statements against the government.

Union Minister & BJP leader Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday said, “Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s statement is unfortunate & condemnable. At such times all parties should ensure that peace is maintained, blaming the government instead is dirty politics. Politicising this violence is wrong.”

He continued to say, “They’re asking where is Amit Shah. He took an all-party meeting yesterday where a Cong leader was also present. HM gave directions to Police & also boost the morale of Police. Statements by Congress have adverse effect on the morale of police.”

He also remembered the Balakot attack that happened exactly a year back and said even at that time, they had raised questions. Even during the surgical strike three years back, they had raised questions. He continued and said that instead of being a part of the nation’s efforts, the were only interested in playing politics.

The Union Minister said that the situation has been brought under control and the injured are in the hospital. He said in such a situation, it is important to maintain peace instead of blaming each other.

Earlier in the day, Congress interim President, Sonia Gandhi, also held a press conference and demanded the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah. On behalf of the Congress Working Committee, she posed six questions to the government and also questioned the Delhi government’s efforts during the Delhi violence.
