Lok Sabha Polls: BJP To Release Election Manifesto Tomorrow, PM Modi To Be Present

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to unveil its election manifesto, termed ‘Sankalp Patra,’ for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on Sunday. The manifesto is expected to focus on themes of welfare, development, and a comprehensive plan for ‘Viksit Bharat’ or Developed India. The launch event will see the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other prominent party leaders at the BJP headquarters.

The BJP had earlier constituted a manifesto committee led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, which convened twice to finalise the content of the ‘Sankalp Patra.’ The party had also undertaken various initiatives, including nationwide social media campaigns, to gather suggestions from the public.

Earlier, the Indian National Congress, rolled out its manifesto named “Nyay Patra.” Congress leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi, have outlined 25 key promises to the electorate.

The general elections in India are slated to be held in seven phases from April 19, 2024, to June 1, 2024. The results will be declared on June 4, 2024.
