Georgia: A tragic car accident in the US state of Georgia resulted in the deaths of three Indian-origin students and injuries to two others. The incident occurred in Alpharetta, Georgia, where a speeding vehicle carrying five 18-year-old students from Alpharetta High School and the University of Georgia overturned and crashed into a tree line after the driver lost control.
Aryan Joshi and Sriya Avasarala lost their lives on the spot, while Anvi Sharma passed away during treatment at a hospital. The injured students, Rithwak Somepalli and Mohammed Liyakath, are currently receiving medical care at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta.
Authorities suspect that speed played a significant role in the fatal crash. The loss of these young lives has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving friends, family, and classmates in mourning.
This tragic incident comes just weeks after another fatal accident involving Indian students in the United States. Last month, Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Kumar Parsi, both 19 years old and hailing from Telangana, lost their lives in a multiple-vehicle collision near Lake Pleasant in Arizona.
