Mumbai: A car caught fire on the Western Express Highway in Mumbai, on Monday night, which drew the attention of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who was passing by.
The Chief Minister halted his convoy when he noticed the flaming car and got out to help the victims. He assured them that the authorities would provide them with all the assistance they need.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Vile Parle area on the highway, the major north-south arterial road in Mumbai.
The fire department received a call about the blaze at 12.25 am. Two fire engines were rushed to the spot and the blaze was doused, as per the newswire PTI.
No one was reportedly injured in the incident.
The CM asked him not to go near the blaze-hit car, saying life was important and assured help before leaving.
