WATCH | When Delhiites take refuge in the hills to get some fresh air

The air quality of the national capital and the neighboring regions in the last few days has shaken awake the citizens into thinking and talking about the growing pollution crisis and how it’s imperative that there are long term solutions to it instead of temporary damage control.

After witnessing Delhi slowly turning into a gas chamber because of various factors ranging from stubble burning to the geography of the region, I decided to take a short trip to Uttarakhand to not only draw comparisons between the air qualities of Delhi and the hills, but also talk to some local residents and tourists about their experience of staying in the hilly areas.

The tourists were overwhelmed to get away from Delhi and experience fresh air in the hills as they talked about the issues they faced back in Delhi owing to the toxic air.
