The fifth International Day of Yoga was celebrated across India in the wee hours of Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Ranchi this year to participate in the celebration of yoga, along with 30,000 people. The theme of this year’s Yoga Day is ‘Climate Action’.

In our daily hectic office life, these are the yoga asanas that have the power to refresh and rejuvenate us-

1) Sukhasana

The name is apt as this pose relaxes and calms not only our minds but also our body. It helps us become stress-free. So whenever we feel overtaxed this is what we need to do. For all the women out there this asana reduces menstrual pain and gives ease to the body. This pose put us in a meditative and peaceful state of mind and is extremely beneficial.

2) Tadasana

This asana has various benefits like it improves body posture and body balance. Not only that, it improves breathing and is good for height growth. The asana is also known to strengthen body muscles.

3) Padmasana

This a crossed leg yoga asana that works wonders for the people who have low concentration. This pose put you in a calm and a meditative state of mind and you regain your focus. The asana can definitely help you become more productive.

4) Gomukhasana

This pose is commonly known as cow pose. We can easily do this at our workplace. This pose opens and increases blood flow in our arms. It relaxes the wrist and help reduce pain.

5) Anulom Vilom

 

The easiest asana to do and has numerous benefits. It relaxes and rejuvenates the body and mind. Helps in the improvement of breathing and channelizes energy.
