A screenshot of a tweet is making rounds on social media which is attributed to former Indian cricket skipper and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.
The tweet in Hindi read: “एक बिहारी ने बलात्कार किया है इसलिए सारे बिहारी गुजरात से भगाए जाएंगे
यहाँ हज़ारों बांग्लादेशी और क्या आतंकवाद, बलात्कार, हत्या, स्मगलिंग, दंगे, लूटपाट और दूसरे के अपराध में लिप्प्त हैं लेकिन वो दामाद बनाए जाएंगे”
(Translation: When a Bihar man raped, all the Biharis were made to go out of Gujarat, but thousands of Bangladeshi and Rohingya terrorists, rapists, murderers who engaged themselves in smuggling, rioting, looting and other crimes were made the sons-in-law here.)

FACT CHECK
When NewsMobile fact-checked the above Tweet we found it to be falsely attributed to Sourav Ganguly.
On closely observing the tweet we found that it was not the official Twiter handle of Sourav Ganguly.
Ganguly’s official Twitter handle is @SGanguly99 while the Twitter handle in the screenshot is @SirSGanguly which no longer exists.
Hence, the above information proves that Sorav Ganguly didn’t make the viral statement.
