Pakistan fired mortar shells and small arms in the Akhnoor and Sunderbani sectors along the Line of Control on Monday night.
An army official said that the ceasefire violation started late in the night a little before 11 pm and continued way into the morning.
The Indian Army retaliated to the violation.
