In a bid to promote Kuchipudi, Abhinaya Praneetha Kuchipudi Art Society, is celebrating a dance festival, honouring the classical dance form.
Delhi Tamil Sangam recognising the immense involvement and effort put by the Guru Seetha Nagajothy and Guru P Nagajothy, will be honouring them and their disciples who broke Guinness Book of World Record on Saturday at Delhi Tamil Sangam.
After the felicitation programme, a Kuchipudi dance recital will be presented by Abhinaya Nagajothy and her group showcasing tradition blended with innovative Kuchipudi Marga ending with Tarangam dedicated to Lord Krishna, where dancers balance themselves on a rim of a brass plate performing intricate feet movements with Taal.
Kuchipudi is a classical dance originated from a small village 50kms away from Vjayawada, in Krishna District. The roots of the art form are in dance-drama tradition where the artists were uniquely talented in both singing and dancing about the numerous exploits of Lord Krishna.
