Here’s the link to the above post.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found the image to be old.

Putting the image through a Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the same picture in multiple reports from 2021.

A report by India TV, dated January 26, 2021, shares the image with a caption: “A farmer walks over the police barricades set up on a road at Akshardham to stop farmers during their Kisan Gantantra Parade amid the 72nd Republic Day celebrations.”

Business Standard shared the same picture in the photo gallery, dated January 26, 2021, with a headline: “Farmers Gantantra Parade: Flower petals, violence, tear gas & more.”

According to a report by the Quint, dated January 27, 2021, the Kisan Gantantra Parade in the national capital on January 26, 2021, turned violent and clashes were witnessed at several parts. The police used tear gas to disperse farmers attempting to break barricades and lathi-charged at multiple borders of the Capital. Thus, it is clear that an old image is being circulated as recent.
