South Korea which had only last week relaxed their lockdown conditions after being praised for their swift handling of the crisis since January, now fear that a slip—caused by one individual—may take them back to square one.
A 29- year old man visited five night clubs in the capital city of Seoul. He came in contact with almost 7200 people directly and indirectly. He then tested positive.

Ever since, the nation that reported zero cases for the past two weeks, suddenly reported a spike in number of cases at over 100 individuals testing positive.
This prompted the South Korean President Moon Jae-In to remark that the fight against the virus: “It is not over until it is over”.
He also asked the citizens to “brace for the second wave of the virus”.
The President announced an aggressive strategy to crackdown on the fresh wave of cases and said that all efforts are being taken to trace at least 5500 people who were in direct contact with this affected individual.
So far only 2400 individuals have come forward and identified themselves before the authority.
This is being noted by nations around the world and it has once again reiterated the importance of phased withdrawal of the lockdown and its inherent dangers.
