Faridabad: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in a local school here, police said on Saturday.
The victim in her complaint alleged that Samshad, whom she had met a fortnight ago, forcefully took her to a school on Friday and raped her, they said.
The accused, a resident of Vinay Nagar, also threatened her against revealing the incident to anyone, police added.
The girl, however, brought the matter to her parents’ notice following which they lodged a complaint with the police. The accused has been booked for kidnapping and raping the teenager, police said, adding efforts were on to nab him.
In another incident, police recovered the body of a man from a well at Khedi Gujran village here yesterday. Police suspect that the man was murdered before being thrown into the well. The body, which is yet to be identified, has been sent for post-mortem, they said.
