CMR Group chief donates 23 acres land for intl airport project

Vizianagram (AP), Aug 25 (PTI) Farmers and businessmenare coming forward to relinquish their land for theinternational airport coming up at Bhogapuram in the district. Chairman of the CMR Group, Mavuri Venkataramana hashanded over 23 acres of land in Bhogapuram mandal to thedistrict collector for the mega project, to be developed byBhogapuram International Airport Company Ltd (BIACL), a pressrelease issued by District Collector office said. Venkataramana voluntarily handed over the 23 acres ofland and also urged the farmers to come forward to relinquishtheir lands to the district administration for the project,which will boost development of the district and was essentialfor it. According to the release, farmers in Kavuluwadavillage in the district have so far handed over 23 acres ofland, while more farmers were willing for acquisition by thegovernment. District collector Vivek Yadav assured the farmersthat the government will settle the compensation package atthe earliest. Meanwhile, the collector said government hasidentified 136 unemployed youth in Mudasarlapeta, Rellepeta,Byreddypalem and Mollikalapelem villages for impartingtraining to them in various trades through district ruraldevelopment agency to create employment opportunities.PTI CORARS
