A 16-year-old girl was killed and seven persons, including four women, were injured by robbers who decamped with jewellery and other valuables from their house in Pathak Mohalla here, police said today.
The robbers entered from backside of their house and attacked the family members and their tenants with sticks and iron rods, they said.
“The robbers attacked the family members of Ram Deo Sharma and their tenant Yogesh’s family members. Sharma’s daughter Lata Sharma died on the spot while seven other people were injured,” said SSP Babloo Kumar.
“One of the victims, Yogeshwari, was seriously injured and has been sent to S N Medical college in Agra, while others injured are being treated in district hospital as well as in a private hospital,” he added.
The robbers made away with valuables worth several thousand rupees, police said.
Five teams have been formed to nab the culprits and the case is being investigated, they added.
