Farmers in Madhya Pradesh‘s Sheopur district received Rs. 2000 currency notes which were apparently fake. The notes were bought from the local State Bank of India branch.
The picture of Mahatma Gandhi was missing from all the notes and when the farmers went to the bank officials to report for the same they told that the notes were genuine and not fake.
They added that it was a printing mistake and the notes were totally genuine. Social media, as usual turned this whole thing into a hilarious meme.
