33-year-old man uses child’s scooter in hospital as he did not have money for the wheelchair

A 33-year-old man from Telangana was forced to use his child’s mini scooter to reach the government hospital as he could not pay Rs 150 for a wheelchair.

The man was identified as 33-year-old Raju suffered a head injury during an accident in August last year and has since been waiting to have surgery. Raju’s wife told that they cannot afford to pay the required Rs 100-150 for a wheelchair and have been using his child’s mini-scooter instead of a wheelchair for the past three trips to the hospital.

Raju left the hospital after two months when he was told to arrange blood for him since then he is neglected multiple times saying that there is unavailability of beds in the hospital. Now the family is asking help from the government.
