Pakistan’s sinister design to murder Jadhav stayed by ICJ

Date:

The Hague: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) pronounced its verdict in favour of India. The international has stayed the execution of former Indian Navy officer, Kulbhushan Jadhav, as ordered by Pakistan military court.

The international court also highlighted about non-providing of counsellor access and assistance to Mr Jadhav as required in the case when a foreign national is arrested.

In fact, the Pakistan is clearly bent upon to execute its pre-meditated sinister design to murder Kulbhushan Jadhav-the Indian national with the pretext of spying. The ICJ has considered all the aspects including its jurisdiction under article 36 and finally ordered Pakistan not to execute Jadhav till the final decision is made, which is scheduled for the end of August 2017.

26 April 2017: Pakistan denied India’s 16th request for consular access to Jadhav.

10 April 2017: Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release informed that Jadhav had been awarded the death sentence by a military court in Pakistan.

6 January 2017: Pakistan announced that it has submitted a dossier to the new United Nations’ Secretary General Antonio Guterres over Indian interference in Islamabad, which was aimed at “destabilising” the nation.

7 December 2016: Pakistan Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz confirms that conclusive evidence against Kulbhushan has not been found. Pakistan Foreign Ministry released a statement the same day stating that the statement attributed to the Adviser is incorrect.
