New Delhi: A day after the 15th Lok Sabha ended, the flamboyant BJP leader Sushma Swaraj took a dig at Congress-led UPA government. Sushma blamed UPA for the disruptions in the 15th Lok Sabha. She also defended the BJP and its allies, saying they disrupted parliament to expose the scams of government.
“This Lok Sabha saw the highest number of disruptions. This government had so many scams, a new one came up in the interval of every session. The government wanted us to set them aside and let the parliament go on, but we had to stall the parliament to expose the government and its corruption,” she said. “Many remarkable legislations have been passed by this Lok Sabha, but we could have passed some more good legislations if parliament would have functioned,” she added.
Whereas, Arun Jaitley accused Congress of losing its credibility among people.“In 2009, it was expected that UPA II will deliver at faster pace, but all it achieved was loss of credibility and lack of leadership. UPA government broke all records of corruption,†said Jaitley.
