Arvind Mayaram to be Secretary Finance

New Delhi: Secretary, DEA, Arvind Mayaram, will succeed Sumit Bose on April 1 as Secretary, Finance in the Government of India. 

Rajasthan cadre IAS officer Arvind Mayaram, who is presently the Secretary of Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), will take over the rein after Bose superannuates on the last day of March.
 

Mayaram (1978 batch IAS), who served a long stint with Finance Minister P Chidambaram, has played a key role in developing public private partnership (PPP) policy among others.
