Gurgaon police launch Cyber Safe Campaign

Date:

Gurgaon: With the increase in internet usage, number of cyber crimes have also gone up.  In places like Gurgaon, everyone has become a potential victim of cyber crime. But the most vulnerable group in this regard is still the younger generation. National Crime Records Bureau showed around 60% of those arrested for cyber offenses were between the ages of 18 and 30. And likewise, those who are being targeted are also the younger ones.

Keeping the trend in mind, the Gurgaon police have initiated an awareness campaign in collaboration with the local schools with a view to aware both students and teachers about the dangers of cyber crime. Called the ‘Cyber Safe Campaign,’ this will be a long-term project, covering all schools and colleges in this region by December this year.
