New Zealand defeat West Indies in first Test

New Zealand defeated the West Indies by 186 runs on the fourth day of the first Test at Sabina Park in Jamaica on Wednesday.

Set a target of 403 after the tourists declared their second innings at 156 for eight, the hosts were dismissed for 216. Scores: New Zealand 508 for 7 declared and 156 for eight declared, West Indies 262 and 216.
