Hot tea just a click away for Mumbaikars!

Date:

Mumbai: Taking inspiration from Narendra Modi, tea-sellers in Mumbai have gone online! They serve for an affordable monthly subscription their cuppa – especially for those who take it seriously. Zepo, an e-Commerce website, launched ChotuChaiWala.com, connecting the chaiwalas of Mumbai to its residents.

It will be awesome, if every Mumbaikars could order tea online, sitting at home or in office. “Not only would it be great for the tea lovers, but also for the chaiwalas who could get hundreds of new customers through the internet,” a Zepo blog stated.

With Bandra as their first destination, the company approached as many tea vendors in and around the famous Linking Road as they could and put forward their idea to them. ChotuChaiWala.com helps the tea vendors market their online store to their customers.

A total of 42 orders were received online, the blog said and added that the profits are meant solely for the chaiwalas, who use it to improve and expand their stalls.

The company held contests on Twitter to promote the website and soon #ChotuGoesOnline was trending in India.
