Arnie boards Chennai Express for audio launch

Chennai: Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger will attend the audio launch of Indian filmmaker Shankar’s upcoming film ‘Ai’ here on September 15.

The 67-year-old Arnold shared the news with his fans in a 32-second YouTube video clip.

“Hello India! I want to congratulate a great director Shankar for directing ‘Ai’. It’s a spectacular movie with a lot of visual effects and I’ll be coming to India to celebrate the grand launch of the audio of ‘Ai’. It’s going to be a spectacular event and I’m really looking forward to it. Chennai, Sep 15, I will be there for the great celebrations. Hasta la vista, baby,” the “Terminator” star, who has reportedly made a cameo in the film, said in the video.

The big budget entertainer (around Rs 180 crore) is produced by Aascar Ravichandran under his Aascar Films banner. The film’s music is composed by Oscar winner A R Rahman.

‘Ai’, which has been in the making for over two years, features Tamil actor Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles. The Shankar directorial was expected to be a summer release, but it did not materialise. The latest buzz is that the film is eyeing a Diwali release in October.
