Mumbai: Homi Adajania’s quirky comedy Finding Fanny has opened strongly as it collected 5.1 crore on day one.
The quirky comedy, which released on September 12, comprises of an eclectic cast including Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia. It is about a road journey undertaken by five oddball characters.
The makers expect the film to grow exponentially over the weekend. Saturday morning trends show the film is growing in every theatre across the country.
The music of the film was another factor that could have made it to the audiences’ hearts. With the critics having given their thumbs up to the movie and other members of the film fraternity including Amitabh Bachchan having praised the film, the makers of ‘Finding Fanny’ would be looking for a positive response at the box office.
