Sunburn 2014 in Goa to have biggest DJ line-up ever

Panaji: Sunburn, one of the biggest Electronic and Dance Music (EDM) festivals in India, has claimed that it will have the biggest line up of DJs ever in the upcoming edition. The festival is scheduled to be held in December this year at Vagator in Goa.

“Sunburn Goa is not just a festival but a destination for music lovers and dance enthusiasts head off to cement their memories. This December too, the ‘mother of all’ festivals, Sunburn continues the bequest to music aficionados in India and worldwide with a line-up worthy for generations to remember by,” Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director of Percept, which is hosting the festival, said.

The festival that was shifted from North Goa’s Candolim beach to Vagator beach last year, will enter its eighth edition.

“2014 will earmark new beginnings as the stage in Goa is set for the biggest line-up of over 150 artists,” he said.

Sunburn Goa will have eight different stages with every stage catering to diverse genres of electronic dance music. “Every single genre including Trap, Dubstep, Drum N Bass, Hardstyle, House, Tech house, deep house, electro, Psy Trance, Electronica live has played a role in shaping the music surge in our country and Sunburn has spearheaded this movement,” Singh added.

He said that being one of the top ten festivals in the world, Sunburn Goa lives up to its name this year too with dance music titans such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Knife Party, Sander van Doorn, Krewella, Baauer, Danny Avila, Head Hunterz, Deniz Koyu, Dubvision, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Matthew Koma, MAKJ, New World Sound, Michael Woods and many more in the phase one international line-up.

“And this, is only the beginning, with more acts to be announced very soon,” the MD said.

Singh said the burgeoning of young dance music talent in India has been widely supported by Sunburn at every festival. “Keeping up to the global audience that they cater too, Sunburn Goa will also host Anish Sood, Algorythm, Delhi Sultante X Begum x (Live), Dualist Inquiry Band (Live), Joshi, EZ Riser, Shaan, Reggae Rajahs and many more,” he said.
