Mumbai: The problem between the two khans – Shah Rukh and Salman –​ seemed to have taken the backseat as the former said he will be attending Salman’s younger sister Arpita’s wedding.
At a recent event in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan confirmed, “Yes I am going to attend Arpita’s wedding. I have known her since she was a child. Salman’s family is like a family to me and I have love and respect for them.â€
Meanwhile, when Aamir was told that Salman had specially called upon actor Shah Rukh Khan to invite him for the big day, he said, “Salman aur main itne kareeb hain ki unko apni behen Arpita ke liye invitation card dene ki zaroorat hi nahin hai. Unki behen ki shadi ho rahi hai, meri behen ki shadi ho rahi hai.”
The Khan family is barring no expense when it comes to seeing their youngest daughter tie the knot. The pre-wedding rituals will begin on November 16 and the main wedding ceremony will be held at Falaknuma Palace on November 18 in Hyderabad. The cost of the venue is said to be one crore per day and Salman’s family is shelling out two crores on it alone.
A splendid wedding reception has been planned for November 21, which is said to be attended by country’s top notch VVIPs, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bollywood personalities like Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Subhash Ghai and many others.
Arpita Khan will marry Delhi-based businessman Aayush Sharma at a grand ceremony in Hyderabad on November 18. The party will then move to Delhi and will reportedly conclude with a lavish reception in Mumbai on Novemer 21.
It is also reported that the groom’s side has invited Sonia Gandhi to the wedding along with Rahul Gandhi and Himachal Pradesh Governor with the entire State Cabinet as Aayush happens to be the grandson of former Telecommunications Minister Sukh Ram and younger son of Himachal Pradesh Cabinet Minister Anil Sharma.Â
