Hyderabad: In what could be called a fairy-tale affair, Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita, on Tuesday tied knot with her Delhi-based beau, Aayush Sharma. The grand affair was witnessed by the top Bollywood celebrities, sportsmen, and the business honchoes.
Bollywood superstars, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, tennis sensation Sania Mirza were among the attendees who witnessed the marriage at the Taj Falaknuma hotel in Hyderabad.
While Arpita was glittering in her beautiful red ‘lehenga’, Aayush wore a cream coloured ‘sherwani’, paired with a heavy red stole.The wedding rituals were performed as per Punjabi-Hindu traditions. Salman’s father Salim Khan, mother Salma, brothers Arbaaz, Sohail and other family members received the baraat. Salman and his stepmother, Helen, proved to be the showstoppers of the night.
Meanwhile, Salman was also seen posing with Katrina Kaif and sister Arpita before the wedding. Talking of the reunion of the two Khans is still everyone’s favourite. Seven folk artists from Rajasthan and many more from Mumbai were specially flown in for Tuesday night’s party. Hundreds of Salman fans gathered outside the hotel to catch a glimpse of the stars.The celebration concludes on Wednesday with a lunch.
