Moriarty to become next Bond baddie?

The name is Moriarty. James Moriarty.

Hollywood’s most iconic and suave secrect agent, James Bond is known to go up against the world’s most notorious bad-guys and defeat them, with panache.

If rumour mills are to be believed, Agent 007 will likely have an explosive new baddie in the form of the TV Sherlock Holmes’ nemesis Moriarty. 

Critically acclaimed actor Andrew Scott, who plays the arch-villain James Moriarty opposite Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock, might be revealed as a cast member of Bond 24 later today. 

If true, Andrew will cross wits and guns with Daniel Craig, playing James Bond for the fourth time in the next film of the super successful series. 

Italian actress Monica Bellucci is also rumoured to have a role. Actors Christoph Waltz and Lea Seydoux are reported to feature among the cast as well. 

Director Sam Mendes returns for Bond 24 after the last film Skyfall. Returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Wishaw. 

An official announcement is expected later Thursday.
