Mumbai: ‘Kai Po Che’ actor Sushant Singh Rajput is all set to feature in ace director Neeraj Pandey’s film based on the ODI captain of Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which is titled MS Dhoni – The Untold Story.
After the success of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom, based on the lives of famous athletes, Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic is the next one to reach audiences.
The movie hints at Dhoni’s rise from his humble beginnings in Ranchi to a cricketing star. Pandey is clear that he wants to uncover the personal and human story behind the icon – his untold story which is filled with humour, romance, tragedy and triumph.
Sushant Singh Rajput took to Twitter on Monday to announce the release date of ‘MS Dhoni-The Untold Story’.
Sushant has been working extremely hard to do justice to the role of Dhoni, in what has turned out to be one of the most anticipated films of the year.
In the poster, Sushant is seen with his back to the viewers in the Indian ODI jersey sporting MS Dhoni’s name and number, and is all set to stun the crowd with his ‘helicopter shots’.
Sushant had earlier played a cricket fanatic in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che.
MS Dhoni – The Untold Story releases October 22.
