AK Pavadia new adviser ISC secretariat

New Delhi:IRTS officer Ashok Kumar Pavadia was appointed as Adviser in the Inter State Council Secretariat.

Pavadia, a 1980 batch Indian Railway Traffic service (IRTS) officer, is presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Public Enterprises.

He was appointed in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary against the existing vacancy, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.

The Centre cancelled the order for appointment of B N Satpathy.

Satpathy, a 1980 batch Indian Engineering Service (IES) officer, was in October last year appointed as Adviser in the secretariat. No reason has been mentioned in the DoPT order cancelling his appointment in the secretariat.

The Inter State Council Secretariat is headed by a Secretary to the Government of India, assisted by two Advisers of the rank of Additional Secretary, two Directors and three officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary and Under Secretaries.

It provides assistance to the Inter State Council which functions under the Home Ministry.
