PVR to screen Oscar nominated films

‘Boyhood’, ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’, ‘Foxcatcher’ and ‘Whiplash’ are among the Academy-award nominated films that will be screened at PVR cinemas as part of its annual Oscar film festival.

The upcoming 87th Oscar Awards, which will honour the best of Hollywood in 2014, will take place on February 22.

The seven-day festival (February 6-12) will show these films at the PVR theatres in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kochi, among other cities.

 “The Academy awards have a special place in the hearts of film connoisseurs. People from the film fraternity as well the audience look up to the Academy Awards for the quality cinema that it entails.

 “Keeping up with our promise, this year as well, we are happy to host the PVR Oscar Film Festival in India and look forward to another successful edition,” said Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Joint Managing Director, PVR Ltd.

The other films being screened during this time are ‘Guardians Of Galaxy’, ‘The American Sniper’, ‘Grand Budapest Hotel Maleficent’ and ‘Nightcrawler’
