Jalandhar: Heroin worth Rs 20 crore in the international market was seized from the India-Pakistan border at Ferozpur sector by the Border Security Force here.
BSF’s Jalandhar-based Punjab frontier Inspector General Anil Paliwal said during the patrolling, force personnel found four packets of heroine, each weighing 1 kg, at New Mohammadi Wala border outpost in Ferozepur sector at the international border.
The weight of recovered heroin is 4 kg and its worth in the international market is around Rs 20 crore, he added.
Till now, BSF has recovered a total of around 48 kg of smuggled heroin in Punjab, he said.
