Who says you can only become a millionaire once?

Date:

A British couple has won £1million in the EuroMillions lottery for the second time in 20 months – beating odds of more than 283 billion to one – and will finally move out of their static caravan.

Millionaires David and Kathleen Long from Scunthorpe will leave their small Lincolnshire bungalow and buy a mansion, as long as it has a bar and games room.

Last time the couple decided against moving and bought a new home for Mr Long’s 81-year-old mother Joan instead.

They may also move out on a Mediterranean cruise with Long, 59, admitting after the latest £1milllion payout he’s ‘run out of excuses’ not to go, and will also donate cash to their local hospice.

The former lorry driver said on Thursday, he was ‘shocked’ to win again but continued buying a ticket after their first million-pound win because ‘I just knew it would be my turn again someday’.

The couple, who married last year after a 12-year engagement, announced their win at their local pub in Scunthorpe where they put on a free bar for all their family and friends.

Statistically it said that the chances of them winning was 283 billion to one.

It is the 10th biggest EuroMillions jackpot to be won in the UK.
