Go from 0-100kmph in India at 29 lakh

Date:

New Delhi: After cementing its place in India with the launch of Z250 and the ER-6n bikes, Kawasaki Motors unveiled its latest flagship model Kawasaki Ninja H2.

Priced at an unsurprising Rs 29 Lakh, the bike was unveiled at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida.

Power for Ninja H2 comes from a liquid-cooled 998 cc inline four-cylinder supercharged engine capable of producing 200 PS at 11,000 rpm and 133.5 Nm of torque at 10,500 rpm, matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

The engine punches out a hefty 197bhp. The Ninja H2 will be offered with an option of Ram Air that hikes the power output to 207bhp. All that power helps it go past the 100kmph mark in 2.5 seconds which makes it the fastest bike in India.

The Ninja H2 rests on a Trellis, high-tensile steel frame and gets a Swingarm Mounting Plate. The motorcycle measures 2,085 mm in length, 770 mm in width, 1,455 mm in height and 1,455 mm in wheelbase. With a ground clearance of 130 mm, the Ninja H2 tips the scales at 238 kg. A 17-litre fuel tank is seen on the H2.

The Ninja H2 is shod with 120/70 tyres at the front and 200/55 tyres at the rear, on 17-inch rims. Dual semi-floating 330 mm discs at the front and a single 250 mm disc at the rear help bring the H2 to a stop.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 for India is imported as a CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) from Japan, and is retailed at five locations in India – Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata.

Looking to tap more cities, the company plans to open 3-4 more showrooms this fiscal year so that many others have a chance to lay their hands on the bike of their choice.
