We cant let this opportunity go

Date:

Berlin: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that it is extremely crucial for India to become a manufacturing hub and added that it will be a big blow for the country if it loses this opportunity.

“I believe that in the coming days, India is going to become a manufacturing hub. It is extremely crucial for us to use this opportunity to turn India into one and if we lose this opportunity, it will be a big loss,” said Prime Minister Modi, while addressing a gathering at a community reception in Berlin.

The Prime Minister said that becoming a manufacturing hub is not merely an economic activity, but a matter of our pride.

“IT revolution showed world the strength of our youth. It has surprised the world but the biggest challenge for India is to use our own talent in our own land. We need to create such an environment there,” he said.

Talking of his visit to the Hannover fair, the Prime Minister said that such events helps India in showcasing its talents.

“I was in Hannover yesterday and India is a partner in the Hannover fair. Over 400 Indian companies have come to the fair. Everywhere, the world is thinking that the country is progressing towards development. These events help India in showcasing in its talent but besides that we get to learn a lot,” the Prime Minister said.

“Everybody is a Hercules in their own area but it is when we step outside that we realize where we stand. Coming to such events give us a challenge and motivates us. I believe that the people who have come from India will see and learn a lot from here and it will benefit us a lot,” he said.

“A particular thing when looked at from a different point of view helps a lot and Indians are expert in that. Even in Germany Indians contribute a lot to the society, and they learn new things. These people can be a bridge between India and where we want to reach as a nation,” he added.

The Prime Minister arrived at Berlin earlier in the day after a successful trip to Hannover.

Prior to his departure from Hannover, Prime Minister Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel issued a joint statement at the Hannover Messe industrial fair’s India pavilion, and said that the event would give a fair chance to Indian companies to observe Germany’s innovations, work culture and discipline.

Prime Minister Modi, currently in Germany on the second leg of his three-nation tour, has vowed to remove unnecessary regulations and procedures to simplify the process of foreign investment in India, as well as to make it easier for other countries to initiate business deals. (
