New Delhi: So here’s another ban. Zee News has put a ban on Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam.Â
According to reports, Sonu was banned because he raised his voice in support of AAP leader Kumar Vishwas. The channel will not buy music with ‘Sonu Nigam songs’, according to sources.Â
Apparently, the channel ran a video footage of Kumar Vishwas and quoted him saying ‘Latak Gaya’ on the recent farmer’s suicide case during AAP rally at Jantar Mantar.Â
Sonu Nigam just retweeted the tweet captioning it as ‘I am far from politics but I feel that truth should come out for the sake of my poet friend Kumar Vishwas’.
Â
Sonu Nigam tweeted, “So now Zee announces a ban on me. 🙂 What do I say.. God bless everyone.”
Â
He further quoted, “Well legal or illegal, one thing’s for sure. Banning someone, is definitely unGodly.”Â
Â
However, Twitter is very much in favour of Sonu Nigam and tweets like ‘I stand with Sonu Nigam’ are trending.
