The Porsche 919 Hybrid of Switzerland’s Neel Jani, French driver Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb of Germany on Thursday grabbed pole position for this weekend’s 83rd running of the Le Mans 24 Hours Race.
It is the first time since Jo Siffert in 1968 that a Swiss driver is on pole for the endurance classic.
The Porsche clocked a best time of 3min 16.887sec as the manufacturer locked out the front three positions ahead of rivals Audi.
