Well, you must be thinking why am I sounding so philosophical? I have a reason to it.
Salman Khan, who is basking high after the success of his recently-released film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, which has finally made it to 300-crore club, was not first offered to him.
Shocked? Yes, you read that right.
Sallu Bhai was not the first choice of the makers, as this movie was offered to Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan first before Salman Khan decided to grab up the film and turn it into a big success.
According to a leading daily, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was first offered to Aamir Khan and report also suggests that when writer K V Vijayendra Prasad, who regularly collaborates with his son S S Rajamouli, decided to do a script in Hindi, he at once came to Mumbai with the script of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
He took the script straight away to Aamir as he wanted him to be a part of his film. Although, Aamir liked the basic idea of cross border drama but the actor had some prior commitments.
Aamir also wanted some changes in the script as he felt the content was too political. But Vijayendra refused to make the changes as the writer did not want to change a thing about the script. And that was a major reason why Aamir couldn’t make it up.
Aamir, who literally cried after watching the film, therefore has one more major reason to cry as he rejected such a great project. Isn’t it?
And then BB was offered to the Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan. Although Hrithik loved the script but the actor was dicey about Rs 2 crores, for the bound script, as the actor felt it was too much.
And before Hrithik could decide anything, Salman, not only offered the writer for the script, but also paid Rs 50 lakh as the signing amount.
The rest as they say is history! As the reality is in front of us and we see how people are going gaga over the film as well as Salman Khan.
