United colours of politicos at Prez’s ‘At Home’ reception

New Delhi: Even as rain played spoil sport, it was a packed house ‘At Home’ reception hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee on the occasion of Independence Day on Saturday.

The political animosity in the Parliament session was forgotten as Leaders across the political spectrum exchanged pleasantries and indulged in some friendly banter.

Besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Top bureaucrats,diplomats, mediapersons and Padma recipients were present.

Also seen at the reception was, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, along with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

At the reception, Sonia Gandhi was seen hugging and exchanging greetings with Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
