New Delhi: BCCI on Sunday retained Ravi Shastri as director of Indian cricket team until 2016 World Twenty20 that will be held in India.
The tenures of the assistant coaches have also been extended until the same period, indicating that the board is not looking at appointing any new coach.

World T20 will be played in India for the first time from March 11 to April 3 2016.
Along with Shastri, the tenures of assistant bowling coach, Bharat Arun, assistant batting coach Sanjay Bangar and assistant fielding coach R Sridhar have also been extended until the 2016 World Twenty20.
The decision was made by Central Advisory Committee that includes BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya and Secretary Anurag Thakur, who ratified the extension of their tenure.
