The chocolate boy behind NaMo’s Manhattan menu

Date:

Do you know Vikas Khanna? The chef who dishes out stuff with a twist. Why are we talking about him? Because, he’s the one who cooked for our Prime Minister.

Yes, that’s right. When Narendra Modi hosted a meal for CEOs of Fortune 500 companies at the Waldorf Astoria in New York on Thursday night, this man was his first choice.

He was given the task of presenting ‘rich, beautiful India’ on a platter, that showcased the festivities and richness of the Indian culture. And the task cut out for him, he doled out poha, khandvi, modak, thandai, dates, non-alcoholic drinks and desserts, but in a fine dining format.

You know who got to taste this finger licking good stuff? Global faces like Lockheed Martin chairman Marillyn A. Hewson, Ford Motor president Mark Fields, PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, Johnson & Johnson chairman Jorge Mesquita were among the people who were served with the scrumptious meal.
