In what can be called as a little surprise for all the ‘tweeple’ if recent rumours and reports are to go by, Jack Dorsey has been confirmed as the new CEO of Twitter.
Co-founder Dorsey has been holding the position of the interim CEO since the time Dick Costolo stepped down in July. He had held the same role earlier as well way back in 2008 but the major issue in making him the permanent lead was that he was also the CEO of payments company Square.
Speaking on the occasion, Dorsey said, “Twitter stands for freedom of expression. We stand for speaking truth to power. And we stand for empowering dialogue. Twitter is the most powerful communications tool of our time. It shows everything the world is saying rn…10-15 minutes before anything else.”
