Prime accused in Sheena Bora murder case, Indrani Mukerjea on Tuesday gave consent to court to let CBI take her voice samples.
“I give my consent for recording my voice samples,” she said in her reply to CBI’s application to court.
The investigating agency has a recorded conversation with a female voice which they want to compare with Indrani’s voice.
However, when Indrani asked for more details, the CBI said they could not divulge anything more.
Based on her consent, the court has allowed the CBI to take Indrani’s voice samples in jail premises, as per the procedure in the jail manual.
Indrani, her ex-husband husband Sanjeev Kumar and her former driver Shyamvar Rai, were arrested in August in connection with the killing of her 24-year old daughter Sheena in April 2012 and later disposing off her partly-burnt body in the forests near Raigad. The three are in judicial custody till November 7.
On October 3, Indrani was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition following weakness and spent four days in the ICU before she was discharged.
